Coach AKA Dvs Mak Is A West Coast Northern California Independent Hip Hop Lyricist And Record Label Owner. Entering The Hip Hop Industry At The Age Of 18 He Created His First Stage Presence, Dvs Mak, After A Night Of FreeStyles With His Best Friend Soon To Become Mentor Ty Stick. After A Year Or So, Ty Stick, Lil Pete, Creep D, And Dvs Mak Would Come Together To Form Grass Valley’s First And Pioneering Hip Hop Label Known As No Joke Records. No Joke Records Had A Few Years Of Good Local Popularity Which Created The Opportunities For Collaborations And Performances With Artist Like Andre Nickatina, First Degree, LoKi, Brotha Lynch Hung, Hieroglyphics, And Many More. No Joke Records Music Was Bumped From The West To The East, And RadioStations Across The Nation. No Joke Records Thrived For A Few Years And Then Tragedy Struck. Pioneering Hip Hop Artist Of The First Known Grass Valley Rap Duo, Ty Stick And Lil Pete, Was Found Victim Of A Hit And Run. By This Time Lil Pete Had Changed His Stage Presence Multiple Times With Emphasis On Provocative, And Last Pseudonym St. Peter. This Caused The Fall Of No Joke Records And The Group That Had Created A Hip Hop Scene In The Small Foothill Town Of Grass Valley....

... After A Brief Hiatus Of Solace And Grieving Dvs Mak Realized How Much It Would Have Meant To St. Peter To Get This Music Out There And Playing For The World To Hear. The Next Step Was How. That Was The Beginning Of BreathSpeak Records. BreathSpeak Is A Term Coined From Ty Stick In His Verse On The No Joke Anthem Released By No Joke Records. Dvs Mak Maintained Hosting Hip Hop Shows, Open Mics, And Dance Parties For A Few More Years And Made A Good Living And Name For Himself In California. When Life Couldn’t Possibly Get Better, It Did. In 2009 The 26 Year Old Hip Hop Lyricist Had His First Beautiful Baby Girl. This Changed Everything For The Young Hip Hop Lyricist From His Goals, His Needs, And Even His Wants. He Started Becoming More Family Oriented, And Less Party Emphasizing. This Was The Beginning Of The Evolution From Dvs Mak Into The Coach. Before, The Young Deviant Was Notorious For His Macking, And Charming Ways With The Opposite Sex. Now He Was More Interested In Teaching These Young “Players” In The “Game” The Right Ways To Avoid Trouble, And Shoot For What’s Positive. Hence, The Stage Presence That He Is Known By To This Day Coach AKA Dvs Mak. In 2013 Coach AKA Dvs Mak Officially Started BreathSpeak Record’s In The Small Foothill Town Of Grass Valley, California. In The Same Year He Would Also Release His Debut EP “I Hope U Enjoyed The Game.” The Following Year He Would Be Blessed Again With A Second Daughter, And The Life Of The Independent Lyricist And Single Father Would Be Synonymous With Coach AKA Dvs Mak From That Point On.
